OpenAI launches an API for ChatGPT, plus dedicated capacity for enterprise customers.

OpenAI has launched an API for its ChatGPT technology, which enables businesses to build chatbot technology into their apps, websites, and products. The API is powered by the same AI model as OpenAI’s popular ChatGPT, which has more than 100 million monthly active users.

Snap, Quizlet, Instacart, and Shopify are among the early adopters of the API, which is priced at $0.002 per 1,000 tokens.

Tencent Follows Alibaba and Baidu in the AI Race: Plans to Make ChatGPT Replica

Chinese tech giant Tencent has announced its plans to develop a ChatGPT-like chatbot called 'HunyuanAide' that will use the advanced Tencent Hunyuan AI model.

Hunyuan AI recently won the top position in the CLUE classification list, making it one of the most advanced AI models in terms of human language understanding. Tencent has assembled a team of experts from various departments to work on this project.

ChatGPT, which was launched in November 2022, has started an AI race worldwide. While ChatGPT is banned in China, companies like Alibaba, Baidu, Fudan University, NetEase Inc, and JD.com have announced their plans to create ChatGPT rivals.

Nvidia’s new AI upscaling tech makes low-res videos look sharper in Chrome, Edge.

Nvidia has introduced a new AI-based upscaling technique, called RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR), through its latest GPU driver. VSR is designed to make lower-resolution videos streamed offline look better on high-resolution displays.

It uses the AI and RTX Tensor cores in Nvidia's 30- and 40-series desktop and mobile GPUs to eliminate blocky compression artifacts and improve sharpness, with the help of a deep learning neural network model trained on a massive amount of images with various levels of compression.

The feature is currently available via the GeForce driver 531.18 and only works with the latest versions of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, as it has been incorporated into Chromium. However, support for other GPUs, including the 20-series, isn't available yet.

Tom's Hardware testing concluded that while Nvidia's upscaling technique works "pretty well," it's best with videos featuring slower-moving content.

The Next Bicasso: Binance NFT Releases AI-Powered NFT Generator.

Binance, a popular cryptocurrency exchange platform, has released a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered non-fungible token (NFT) generator called "Bicasso". Users can input a creative prompt or upload an image to generate a unique image, which can then be minted as an NFT on Binance's BNB chain.

Nearly 3,300 users have already minted at least one Bicasso NFT, according to the platform's early mint data. NFTs and AI-generated art have been gaining popularity in the past year, with generative art NFT collections experiencing high prices and increasing trading volumes.
